Slab is Poured!

Good morning! Thanks for spending your Monday morning with me.. SO much is getting done and I can't wait for all of you to see it! Looks like we have good weather ahead so let's get this going!

The slab is finally poured!!! Lots of preparation is done before the slab is poured. Any changes to the floor plan, floor electrical outlet placement, and tub and shower drain placements must all be determined prior to this date... that's why it feels so good to see it poured! YAY!!

After a few weeks of allowing the slab to cure the framing of the house begins...

The house is now completely "wrapped"! You'll notice the windows are now installed, it's important to make sure windows are well taped with window seal tape to ensure efficiency. Now is a good time to seal off any protrusions that penetrate the sheathing.

Jamie and I recently visited a door company to select and order all of the interior doors! In the photo below is what was given to us to flip through and find the style we wanted..

After much thought we decided on a single panel door similar to the photo below! I feel that its simplicity matches our modern influence on this home.

This is getting exciting!!! Stay tuned for next week's discussion on the importance of the electrical walk through as well the cabinet designs! See y'all next Monday!
