Installation Day!

Installations are both exhilarating and exhausting.. so much goes on behind the scenes leading up to the installation day! Jamie (Eagle Nest Custom Homes) has kept this Parade Home on a tight but accurate timeline. It is a decorator's dream to have the house completed a few weeks prior to the opening day of the Parade of Homes! Jamie has successfully finished early! 

The cleaning crew has taken plenty of time to thoroughly clean windows, drawers, moldings, and flooring. Now that the house is sparkling clean, I am able to start scheduling the delivery of rugs and furniture.. remember my October trip to High Point Market? It was there that I sourced all furniture for this house. From the headboard to the sectional, to lamps and candlesticks... all were ordered specifically to fit this beautiful new construction!

Once orders were received from market, they were inspected and then put into storage. Now is the time to bring them to the house as we start to make this house a home! My team and I are like kids on Christmas morning as we open boxes and reminisce about our prior purchases! SO much fun! 

Once the rugs are un-rolled and the furniture is put into place, it's now time for the DETAILS! In keeping with our "New Traditional style" of home building and decorating, my team and I have mixed old and new when accessorizing and decorating. In the picture below, you can see the fantastic, modern, brass bookcase.. I am accessorizing with antique books, art, and unique finds! 

Draperies are installed and need to be steamed..

I've placed one-of-a-kind items in the master bath and commissioned art from a local up and coming artist..

We even decided to take it one step further by setting the table!

The exercise room is starting to take shape..

We've put the finishing touches on the floating shelves in the kitchen..

The brass accents got polished on our show stopping pantry door!

Wow, what a memorable journey this has been! Now that you've seen and read about this house being built from start to finish, come see it in person!! Jamie and I are so excited to meet y'all! The Parade of Homes starts next week; the dates are April 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd, from 1-6.
