New Project!
/Hi y'all!! It feels good to be back up on here :-)
I'm so excited to share with y'all the details of a new project I'm working on.. Lafayette's newest upscale neighborhood seems to have taken off overnight! The Vineyard Subdivision is centrally located off of Ambassador Caffrey and Kaliste Saloom, just behind St.Thomas More High School. Jamie Leger (Eagle Nest Custom Homes) and I have, once again, teamed up to build a masterpiece for some lucky homeowner!
As with our previous home, this house is being built as a spec home and is available FOR SALE! We felt like our 2018 Parade Home was such an overwhelming success and we couldn't wait to start our next super detailed project.. We were able to purchase one of the last lots offered by the developer! It's a fabulous corner lot with a backload garage... my favorite!!
Something that Jamie and I like to do before building a home is to discuss who we feel our prospective homeowners will be so that we can make this home fit to their needs. Our thoughts are that the person purchasing this home will have middle school/high school age children, they will be established in their professions and will be empty nesters in the next 5-10 years.
Jamie and I have decided to build a single story home with a fantastic outdoor patio and kitchen and a low maintenance courtyard! For you locals following my blog, the address is:
100 Moondance, Lafayette, LA 70508
Feel free to drive by to check on the construction progress or park your car and come on inside! You are more than welcome to call me or Jamie for your own personal tour or if you want more details- be sure to continue to follow this blog series as I will take you along this journey of designing, building, and making selections for this stunning, custom, spec home!
I know... "custom" and "spec" should not be used together to describe the same home. However, our homes are so detailed and so well thought out that they are not a typical spec home. We like to think of our homes as all custom homes just waiting to be discovered and sold to the lucky home owner!
Check back soon as I begin to reflect on where I draw my inspiration and how I incorporate it into our "new traditional" style!
